Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consumer Insights Manager to join our team. The Consumer Insights Manager will provide strategic leadership on consumer insights for Category Innovation and Marketing Communications teams. This role is responsible for delivering timely consumer insights, research updates (qualitative and quantitative), and actionable implications to drive business decisions. The position reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of annual consumer insights and market research plans, including setting an operating budget, identifying resources, and managing external partners.
  • Provide strategic insights into target consumer motivations, behaviors, and preferences to inform brand management strategies and marketing plans.
  • Identify relevant consumer behaviors and report key findings to guide the consumer path-to-purchase and shopper marketing strategies.
  • Lead consumer insight activities throughout the innovation stage-gate process, including whitespace identification, concept testing, product evaluation, and consumer launch opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable innovation insights to brand management, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and market opportunities.
  • Identify and engage agile research methodologies and agency partners to establish benchmarks and processes for successful product launches.
  • Develop and write strategic research briefs to align internal and external partners, inspiring impactful research and insights delivery.
  • Manage the selection, performance, and output of research agencies, ensuring top-tier results and strategic impact.
  • Lead Nielsen and other syndicated data analytics and HH panel refreshes, conducting regular review meetings.
  • Partner with agency planners to develop consumer insights that inform effective communication strategies and plans.
  • Support the evaluation of consumer communications, including brand health metrics, marketing mix analysis, and digital program performance.
  • Measure and optimize the performance of communication initiatives across the omnichannel path to purchase.
  • Participate in major integrated marketing campaign initiatives, contributing to real-time and long-term communication optimizations and lessons learned in a “test and learn” environment.
  • Deliver consumer insights presentations and research updates, summarizing key findings and strategic implications for Marketing team and Pulmuone Foods USA leadership.
  • Provide regular business reviews, emphasizing the voice of the consumer and identifying areas of improvement for product evaluation.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer research, including brand health tracking, advertising assessment, and a focus on digital advertising.
  • Expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as new product development, consumer segmentation, consumer journey mapping, brand target identification, and positioning.
  • Experience in the CPG food and beverage category is preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and other database systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, dependability, and self-motivation.
