About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Stick Welder to specialize in welding and fabricating metal structures. This role involves working with a variety of structural components, ensuring strength, durability, and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) techniques and extensive experience in working with structural steel and other metals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform stick welding on structural metal components, including beams, columns, trusses, and frames.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures according to project blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect materials for defects and prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, or grinding.
• Execute quality welds that meet structural and safety requirements.
• Ensure proper alignment of parts during the welding process using jigs, clamps, and other tools.
• Perform load tests and inspections to verify structural integrity.
• Operate equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
• Adhere to safety regulations and workplace standards at all times.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in welding metal structures, with a focus on stick welding (SMAW).
• Familiarity with structural steel and metalworking processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various positions, including overhead, vertical, and confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures.
